Will your Monster Glide work in A TAFC?
How does weight compare to a B&J transmission multi clutch set up?
We have many funny cars, dragsters, and altereds that run the Monster Glide very successfully. We have had champions in the Top Eliminator 6.30 index series, and also CIFCA funny car series. The Monster Glide weighs 105 lbs, and a 10.5 inch torque converter weighs about 38 lbs. But as far as TAFC with a powerglide, in 1987 NHRA made OEM style automatics illegal in TAD and TAFC competition.
Will a late model 904 last all season bracket racing in a 2900lbs, 500 hp, 5000 stall car foot braked or a 727? Thanks.
A 904 set up correctly should do that job, but the 727 is a far more durable transmission, and therefore a better investment in the long run.
