After installing the front bearing I rooted through all of the stuff in the box searching for a washer and hub nut. They weren’t there. So, I looked through my inventory list and found they weren’t supposed to be there --they don’t come with the kit. This is the second time the pile of old parts comes into play. I dug through the pile, retrieved the old washer and nut, cleaned them thoroughly and installed them. Note: never throw away the old parts before you have installed all of the new ones… they may come in handy. Not only was installation a snap, they sure are pretty behind the open wheel on that black Chevy II.

We weren’t able to go racing the next day because I didn’t think about needing new brake hoses (the old brake hoses don’t fit). I really wish the kit had come with new steel braded brake hoses, not to mention the washer and hub nut. Since you are going to need all these things, they should offer them in the kit.
Though we didn’t get to race the next day, I have since acquired and installed the new brake hoses and am thoroughly pleased with the performance of these brakes. Now there is no more cringing on the big end. I am quite confident that I will be able to safely stop this car before running off the end of the strip. I’d like to thank Aerospace for making an easy to install disc brake kit, and making all of our drag racing a little bit safer.

Thanks for a great product!
