The first two days of the four races are complete at the Mid-Michigan Motorplex four-day Super Pro World Challenge and Steve Dillman, of Indianapolis, captured the $5,000.00 top prize Thursday night and Todd "Bones" Ewing of Cullman, Alabama, finished on top Friday night. A good friend of mine, Doug Kutina, won the door car gambler race Friday night, "way to go Doug!!". It is Saturday morning and we are waiting out some thundershowers that are rolling through. Sometime this afternoon we should get underway with the $50,000.00 to win S/Pro race. The racing has been as tough as I have seen. The 1/8 mile format contributes to the close racing at it has been round after round of .500 lights and dead on runs.

I’ll update you Sunday with the results of Saturday and Sunday events. Then it is off for a "real three day vacation" in upper Michigan. After that it is back to Mid-Michigan for the IHRA Northern Nationals and another shot at the Quick Rod racers. Until then, may your roads be smoother (than these are) and your week a safe one.
