Hi
Is there any way I can stop my car by adjusting tire pressure from going sideways off the line? I can't get it to go a straight line during burnout. I have a '68 Chevelle SS with a 427 approx. 500 HP, Muncie 4 speed and 390/12 bolt posi rear. No matter what rpm's I come off the line at, after I nail it, my rear always side steps to the passenger side. I can get my back to pass out my front. I have Hotchkis front and rear control arms (non adjustable in the rear), also in rear are a set of no hop bars. I don't have any wheels hop but I want my car to go straight but that so far is not possible. Always goes to the passenger side. I have 275 60 15 radials in rear. I don't do the strip so slicks are not needed. I open it once in a while but would still like to do a straight line. I was told that by adjusting rear air pressure that can control some of that. Any easy fixes?
Thanks for any help.

Paul,
Yes you can just the tracking of your car by changing tire pressure, you are adding or subtracting from the tire circumference this will make one tire roll further then the other. This will be really hard on your posi traction.
The best way to fix your problem would be to take your car to the track to run it, the track surface is nice and smooth and flat so the car will roll straight and it is a much safer place to do your testing.
