Volume X, Issue 10, Page 97

  1. Did happen and quite a significant change…Funny Car went from 38.9% to 54.1% and Top Fuel went from 47.8% to 59.3%...and those number don’t include holeshot wins (which are both good side by side runs.)  In addition to better stats as far as side by side eliminations go, another stat I keep is percentage of good runs.  So if Car A goes up in smoke, but Car B makes a all out run, it DOESN’T count as a good elimination, but Car B gets counted as a good run. That stat is up from 8% to 82% for TF and 80%, up 13%, for FC.
  2. Didn’t really happen and not enough data to measure…for the 2008-II season I’m only counting 9 events.  However, there were some fresh/old faces qualifying in the latter part, including Dakin, Massey, and Hagan.
  3. Tony led every top 12 category I have in 2008-I except reaction time and he was second in that category…in 2008-II he led every top 12 category I have except reaction time (I think I just repeated myself) where he was third!

One more set of stats – W/L percentage for both seasons, because winning is really the only stat that counts:
