Burkster, as usual your observations were "right on". It took a lot of courage for Greg Anderson to be so outspoken about the track conditions at Phoenix - He has a major sponsor to support.
Charlie Allen used to be a racer. Was he not aware enough to fix the track before the race, or did profitability get in the way of safety? It certainly did for the NoHotRodsAllowed management. What a bunch of dickheads!
I'll give Graham Light fifty championship points if he will kiss my ass. They are completely ineffective. I'll bet Wally is spinning in his grave again.

Ask any of the local racers from the Arizona what they have to say about the miserable traction and track condition at Cheap Charlie's track for years. It has always been very poor as to prepping the track. Keeping it safe to run on. I'm sorry for the guys that crashed, but am very happy that people finally stood up and said NO!

I agree 100 percent. No track prep would cure some of the problems and save the track operators some money. We might even find out who the really smart racers are.

Oh, Burkster, what are you thinking? Please don’t give NHRA any more ways they can cut costs by reducing track prep. Yes, some of us would love to see everyone run the same distance - be it 1000 ft, 1320 ft, 660 ft, or better yet - If the new NHRA wants to follow NASCAR so badly, change the distance from track to track, it should be dependent on shut-off length. That way the insurance people will be happy, the racers will be safer, and when we watch ESPN2 we won’t know what the hell is going on.
Just think: 4 wide and 783 ft. Zero track prep!
