BUT WHAT ABOUT THE DRIVER?

Hello: I am a member of the Pacers Auto Tazmanian Devil II car that crashed in Kingman. I am here to give an update: Driver Ken Rooney (Nephew of the car owner) has bruised ribs, but will be fine. Car is being repaired as we speak. Should be ready for Nostalgia Drags at Speedworld (AZ) by November.

Hey, Warren tried the single wheelie bar early in the season. Part way into the race he went back to a normal system. Maybe the traction control works better now.

“With the growing popularity of the Nostalgia (or as we prefer, AA) Funny Cars, Gary Densham is dusting off his old “Teacher’s Pet” car and will reportedly do a little testing this weekend. The plan is for his son Steven to drive the car next year.”

It's not the car pictured is it? Nowhere near old enough. Love Densham, but keep it away. In fact all the big show drivers/owners should stay away, let us have our nostalgia and you guys keep ruining your section of town.

FOLLOW THE MONEY

Just wondering.... How much, or, whose money says that my TV program can take precedence over yours?

NHRA and the racers have bent over backwards to get turn around times and oil downs under control to make for a tighter TV schedule. However, other sports don't seem to have to have these time constraints. Football starts an hour late because of rain, no problem. Little league baseball (really?) goes over an hour and a half, no problem. Basketball drags out the last 90 seconds of an un-winnable game for 15 minutes with TIMEOUTS!

If I were a sponsor expecting to see my name that I paid a lot of money to see on the side of a car in primetime, and it doesn't show ‘til after midnight, I'd be looking to sponsor a stick and ball team where I'd get my name in primetime, because obviously somebody back in the dark halls of TV time allotment has already stacked the deck in their favor.

I'm done being pi**ed off about it, I just want to know who calls the shots. Anybody got any ideas?
