An oily salute to Ashley

Just curious what are the ratings for Pinks All Out compared to NHRA paid broadcast on ESPN2?

Also, I changed the oil in my 1988 Dart-motored Chevy Camaro today with Castrol GTX motor oil to pay my respects to one Ashley Force for winning the US Nationals! Way to go!

We’ll check on the ratings and the Agent will report as soon as we get the info.

A second-hand job

It's about time the drag racing gets some major 'media' attention. It's too bad that it had to be in this type of situation. Now, if ESPN would only get someone in the booth, on the mic to help out Mike Dunn, then the sport would really be on the rise....

Did I see the "altercation?" Nope, I was out back working on my own stuff. But then again, second hand is better than no hand.

Keep up the great stuff, Jeff.

But maybe not the Pinto

I agree with Jon’s thinking on Pro Stock relevance. How about bringing the pony cars back to Pro Stock? Challengers, Camaros, and Mustangs are all cars with style that we would be proud to own and drive, instead of the Cavalier, GXP, or Avenger econo-blobs.

Did we miss the point of this?

OK. I think the lack of knowledge of the history of racing plus the attraction our culture has to fame, beauty, model looks, hot bods, rather than hot rods and real heroines like, UMMMM, Shirley Muldowney! HELLO! That's kinda a given. First babe of speed lives. Sorry, I'm a disappointed Shirley wannabe. Hope I wasn't too rough.
