I read (Jok’s) column about safety rules applying to everyone. That column hit a soft spot with me, in the fact that almost two year ago I took my ‘68 Camaro (that my father and I built and raced for many years up to about 2001) out to the track. I had not been out there in many years so I figured I would get the full tech.
What I got I would have never expected. It took them 45 minutes to tech my car and came up with a list of ticky tac stuff.... All valid I suppose. When I got back to my pit I had people come by and tell me they have never seen anyone get a tech like that.
The worst part of the whole thing is when I wonder around the staging lanes and look at the other cars I found many of the same things wrong with their cars. I'm not sure why I got singled out, but I have gone through my car from top to bottom and I'm loaded for bear this time out.
I love the mag and read all the time. Keep up the good work.

Hi guys, love the photos from the Nostalgia Nationals, and especially the shot of my car (Hell's Belle, purple altered driving in the Wild Bunch). But just wanted to let you know we didn't have a fuel leak at all, the crash was due to the altered just being an altered. Usually I can get her back when she wiggles her bum, but this time she went a bit quick!
....and still smiling from the PB :o)
Thanks.

I was just reading an article here dated June 9, 2009 about Mike Konigshofer, "Konigshofer adds NMCA to resume" where you wrote "Former IHRA Pro Stock competitor Mike Konigshofer joined the NMCA Pro Stock..."
Mike is the nephew of IHRA Pro Stock driver John Konigshofer. This is Mike's first season competing behind the wheel of his ‘89 Speed North Mustang in NMCA and OSCA Pro Stock.
The weekend of Maple Grove where the picture is taken, the ‘08 Speed North Pro Stock Mustang which John drives was racing at Milan in the ADRL race there where he went to the semis before it was called due to weather.
Just wanted to clear this up.
