Right on Jeff Burk about the Bristol, ah, race. I have the perfect solution for us long time drag race guys... nostalgia meets. That is where I have landed and I am counting the days to Bowling Green.

I couldn't agree with Jeff Burk more on his comments about the all too pathetic ESPN show of the NHRA event from "Thunder Valley." The "Newlywed Game?" Give me a break. If I wanted to watch some lame game as this I would have tuned into the game show channel or some other kind of lame, boring, uninteresting show instead of a televised "sports" show.
What are the producers thinking? I guess it's off to watch Versus TV and the ADRL and use the extra time I'll have left over watching some other sport such as monster trucks, etc. At least it isn't as boring.

Until recently, I would record NHRA qualifying or finals to try and avoid late night airings or to avoid those stupid commercials that are played over and over every six minutes. I find it much easier and less stressful to avoid the whole process and just watch something else.

I think I'm pretty lucky living in Australia now, we get a shortened elimination show on ESPN than in the states. We don't get a lot of the bullsh*t that they show in the live feed that you get in America and from what you say, I feel good about that. Here I thought I was missing it, all the action, but instead I'm just missing all the bullsh*t and NHRA fluff and filler that they like to use.
Boy, now I know I'm living it good. Miss going to the races but not the viewing on TV. Guess you can't have it both ways!
