I have some “wonder whys” myself.
Just wondering… Whatever happened to the committee to slow fuel cars down and make them safe to race full track instead of shutting off at 25/132’s of a mile? With the record for alcohol dragster 5.10 ET, how slow do they want to go?
Just Wondering… Why keep any records for fuel since it has been years since one was broken. NASCAR doesn’t promote records. There are also no historic records for the 1000 ft like there are for 1/8th and ¼ mile.
Just wondering… 1000 ft helped on the oil downs? Perhaps the points for oil downs are a way not to keep track of oil downs.
Just Wondering… Why NHRA hasn’t come up with a track standard that if the track is long enough and with the proper safety can run full ¼ mile race for fuel cars? Something similar to restrictor plate racing in NASCAR.
Just Wondering… If a full 24 nostalgia fuel cars trying to qualify would make a better value for a fan than the 15 pro’s jockeying for position would make a more interesting Saturday.
Just Wondering… Why going to a pro race now isn’t near as much fun as it was in the 90’s. I end up telling my kids 200 miles of stories from the good old days after going to the Dallas Race.
Just Wondering… If the IHRA race at the new track at Dallas will replace the NHRA race at Ennis for our annual Big Show.
I would like to know if you read this. I'm a loyal reader of yours. It’s only fair. Be well. Regards.

Does Beckman driving at the event in Sac-town count as a "test session"?
Just wondering?

No, it has to be in the car he races in NHRA Funny Car competition to count.
On the rocket-powered bike: don't expect it to run on the salt at Bonneville. The sharp-edged aluminum wheels aren't legal, and rockets aren't allowed on the salt anymore. Maybe a dry lake? Later.
