I really question the wording of your report on the 10% pay cut for the NHRA staff. To say it's a "sad day" really misses the point. It's been a year of sad days with the management of the association keeping their heads in the clouds, and their hands in the Association’s bank accounts.

Just a note on your $IGN OF THE TIMES article. You say just another example of how current economic downturn is affecting motorsports. You report that SMI was previously paying $0.34 div. per share annually, and now they are going to pay $0.09 per share quarterly. That would work out to $0.36 annually on stocks trading at a lower price than a year ago. Therefore your APY would be higher.

Does anyone know why JR Todd got the boot at Lucas? This kid has more talent than Morgan, and WINS! I thought they were buds.

Just a comment: as in previous years I watched ESPN2's coverage of an NHRA National Event and wonder... Is it Paul Page isn't aware there are actually different car brands competing in Pro Stock, or does he just feel it isn't worthy of mention? Either way he seems to be indifferent to a huge part of what Pro Stock is SUPPOSED to be about.

NHRA is broadcast on ESPN. Why is it that on the ESPN network all day long, there is never any mention of any NHRA news? They show ball and stick and NASCAR but no NHRA! What a good broadcast partner!
