What a sport #3

Agent, great stepping up with "The Sportsman Report". I'm a T/AD fan, but enjoy checking out all the Sportsman results.

NHRA steps on its crank, again. Fortunately, DRO is around, again. Thanks for keeping the 'little guy' in mind, again.

What a sport #4

Jeff, LOVE the new Sportsman Report! Hopefully I will be included in one this year! One possible improvement, if I may be so bold, would be to list the engine type/size along with the qualifying info. Once I get rolling I may be able to contribute some pics of various races? You ROCK!

Too short to keep his attention

I was an avid drag race fan in the 1950's and ‘60s. I still followed the drags as best I could when many life changes made it inconvenient to attend the races. I have gradually lost interest as the cars all seem about the same, tracks seemed to have dwindled and a thrilling sport seemed to get boring.

The change to 1,000 ft. has made me lose any interest I may have had. The solution was to fix the tracks, not emasculate the sport. Too bad! I think drag racing is finished at 1000 ft. The sport needs a new format and a return to 1320 ft.

What a fan wants

Oil-down fines were pulled so there would be more engine and car fires to make it seem exciting for the non-drag race fan. A real fan wants nitro in the air and two cars make a full clean pass.

Oh yeah, and get rid of Page.

Give him an ‘A’

Thanks to everyone who is finally starting to talk and discuss the revival of the AHRA. The pros of today all raced with AHRA and Mr. Tice always made good on his word. Looking forward to many new AHRA stories.
