FUEL CONSERVATION IN OHIO

Always enjoy your column, Jeff. As a nostalgia AA/FD fuel racer, the cost of nitro is critical to us. Most nostalgia guys are sponsored by their own wallet even if the name of their company is on the car. I'm racing this year because I have fuel left over from last year. The price of diesel, though, is keeping me closer to home. We are lucky in our location, because we have so many tracks near our location in northern Ohio.

Also, it really makes someone say "Hm-m-m-m" when you mention the woulda-coulda hired Bader. Norwalk really knows how to treat racers and fans.

NO, BUT EVEN DEEP POCKETS HAVE A BOTTOM

Are you saying the rich men cannot afford nitro?

THE LAND OF FREE ENTERPRISE?

From this side of the 'pond', I'm 'just wondering' how the 'land of the free' and originators of anti-trust legislation can countenance a situation where there is only one official supplier of nitro to the NHRA? In Europe that would be illegal, counter to EU Law and the Competition Regulator would impose a multi-million dollar fine on any such organization that dared to try it - there have been many recent precedents. Can anyone explain this?
