ALL OVER THE TRACK

Well, well, Burkster, I guess it is OK to get reamed by Coil. Because if there were no Coil, there would be no Force. A lot of your ideas made sense, unless someone like Coil reads it.

And how 'bout all this 1,000-round win crap. Yes that is an accomplishment BUT... even more of an accomplishment is that phony facade with Force and Bernie yacking on live TV (courtesy of ESPN2 & NHRA) about track conditions. Yeah right, and then a .170 light, yeah right, and I have beach front property in Nevada for purchase. What a farce or force, what's the difference. BUT... then you have professional drivers (I won't mention names) talking about how Force in everything and their best friend and so much too funny cars and blah, blah, blah. As a driver, rider, competitor, when you worship someone that much, YOU ARE NO LONGER A COMPETITIVE DRIVER, you’re just a good driver. When Force races people like that (or Team Force for that matter), it is their race to lose.

An astounding driver only knows one "best", and that is himself/herself. A "good" driver looks at others with these fabulous records as the best, and only hope to be as good as that. Those folks should give up driving and become something else. I have said it before, I would love to drive those cars. If you are only as good as the driver in the next lane, then you ain't payin' enough attention to your lane.
And for all those losers that don't like my opinion, bite me. If you ain't rippin' their throats out, you ain't racin'. I don't race to be popular, I race to win. Long live the "Snake" Hog Wild

OUCH!

What does Coil know? He's just a fat guy with a toothpick in his mouth!

BIG ONES?

It’s nice to see you have the balls to admit when you have over stepped your issues with traction at the tracks. Let Coil do his job and you your column. I do enjoy your articles, keep up the good job. As a former crew chief for Tasca TA/FC, I know it’s not always easy to make the right call.

SMALL ONES?

Cavin’ in. Cavin’ in to the establishment. RE: butt chew by Austin Coil. Sorry, Burkster, I don't buy into this one.

AND IT LOOKS COOL TOO!

OK, if the tracks are so hard to run on with so much sunlight screwing up the traction, WHY aren't the races run at night? Track cools down and the times get good. Seems to me that a majority of the races are run when temps are hot, so why not race at night? I know that won't compensate for bumpy tracks, but at least the show would be a lot better. I'd much rather see a night race with the flames high and good speeds and ET's than frying in the sun. Yeah, I'm an OOG (Official Old Guy) and still remember how much I enjoyed the races at night back when SoCal still had drag strips.
