FEWER IS NOT BETTER
I do not think the sport would be well served if the 3 or 4 people you mention, along with Mr. Smith, conspired to gain control of things. I am still of the thought that there must be some place for the smaller, less-funded teams to have a chance to race, and maybe even win a race every now and then.
I think people like Jack Wyatt and the Creasy family are more in line with what our sport is about, than to have it controlled by Force and Schumacher.

KEEP RACING FUN
I have been attending the March Meet since the early 70's and for the last three years the attendance has been growing each year. The best thing about it is no one is uptight and darn near everyone is willing to talk a bit. The Funny Cars look like real cars. 100% nitro (sometimes) sounds like 100% nitro and all the rest of the classes are actually fun to watch. I believe that this deal will continue to grow as time goes on.
Now all we need is an ADRL event in California... And let’s make it Bakersfield...

ARE TRACK PROBLEMS RESURFACING?
What is up with the Gainesville racing surface? Seems that since the track was resurfaced a few years ago one of the NHRA top tracks has lost its charm and become a second rate surface. Recent history suggests it will be a long time before history will be made here again...

REYES WAS HIGHER
The Cruzer body went way high, but I don't think it still has anything on Steve Reyes’ shot at Fremont!
