Been going to the Gators 14 years now. Pro Mods were (and are) the best class to come along. It's the little guys that started it all. Keep something for the little guys, or maybe the little guy fans won't make Gators 15.

The NHRA screwing this up with arrogance and neglect is the smart money bet. The Glendora folks obviously don't care about the quality of racing. They sure have no interest in the health of Pro Mod racing. Next year it will be a memory.

WHAT A THRILL
To Whom It May Concern,
I, Will "The Thrill" Smith, am a Junior Drag Racer from Northport, AL. I have been racing since I was 9 years old. I will be turning 18 this season, therefore, this will be the last season I will be eligible to run in the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League. I have had tons of success in my career and plan on moving up to Super Comp soon and carry that success with me to the Super Comp ranks and beyond. I have also had experience working with NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle racer Steve Johnson and IHRA Pro Mod racer Shannon Jenkins, while in the Jr. Dragster ranks.
I think it would be cool for the readers to read a story involving a Jr. Dragster racer, who shares his success and dreams with everyone. One day, maybe one day those readers will come to me to autograph that magazine. Please let me know if you would consider doing about my career and dreams. Thanks for your time!

We wish you good luck with your career, Will, you obviously already know something about marketing yourself. Just a little advice, however. If you’re asking for something, take the time to find out the name of the person you are writing too because it will increase your chances of getting a favorable response. Also, be sure there is a physical magazine for you to autograph before you dangle that carrot in front of an editor’s nose.
A note:
If the letters ection seems a bit sparser then usual, it's because we recieved quite a few excellent letters, many of them about Pro Mods, that we couldn't run. Remember, if you don't include your full, real name, we can't run your letter. If your opinion is worth the time to type it out, isn't it worth the time to include your name?
