Why doesn't Tim Wilkerson rate any coverage? One comment about him being in the lane next to Troxel, and one partial picture behind Brown. He's about the only single car team left that's really competitive and that alone should get some mention I would think.

DRAG RACING ECONOMICS
I think with the bad economy, drag racing may get back to what I always thought it was about, the man who can build, drive and tune his own car. I guess even in the worst time there will be a few ultra rich people playing, but they should not control the sport.
I think that less money will slow the sport down, and that takes care of the safety thing. I again say that the sport was never intended to be the domain of the rich and powerful. Look what money has done to NASCAR. I gave up on it several years ago.
Will we ever see the time that an independent fuel team stands a chance to win a race? People pull for the underdog, and we have banned him from our sport. I hope something will change for the better with the lack of big money flowing into the sport, and make no mistake, the money is drying up. Goodbye to the 18 wheelers and mega motor coaches. There are not many things you can show me that big, big money has not ruined and drag racing is one of them...
