GETTING BLASTED
Now that's what I call a "Blast", Burk's Blast to be precise. One of the best ever... If advertisers bail due to the truth being told, excuse me, I mean an opinion being stated, maybe their advertising revenue is better placed by that company someplace else. If a friend runs away because you speak your mind, well maybe he wasn't much of a friend after all. Last time I looked around, this was a country that provided us a platform of freedom, and that included speech.
As for proprietary information being released by NHRA or ESPN on viewership numbers, proprietary to whom? If it's obtainable, how proprietary is it?
And the good news: Paul Page isn't making as many, let's call them errors...
Nice job, Burkster. Good day.

COUNTING TV’S
As the guy who started the online petition I have been waiting to see these numbers. The Countdown did not work and even with this year’s changes it still will not. You can't have a playoff system and not have the playoff teams actually race each other. Thanks for posting these numbers.

WHAT KEEPS SPORTSMAN RACERS MOTIVATED?
I would love to see the results of sportsman events reported on TV. I understand most people would rather see Top Fuel and such, but the little guys are the ones that have kept the sport going for years. If we don't give them some recognition, I'm afraid we will see a reduction in the amount of people involved in the sport, which may be the beginning of the end of racing as we know it. I had rather see a Stock or Super Stock race any day.

BYE-BYE TO NHRA
Dear NHRA, I have been a fan since 1990. I attend at least 2 races a year. After all the stupid calls at Maple Grove, failure to investigate the Wayne County Speed Shop break in, etc., I was still attending, until now. The genius behind the "Chumpionship Chase" will sink the sport.
I'm here to tell you I will not be attending ANY NHRA events until the "Chase" is eradicated. I think many people will do the same. NOBODY WANTS IT! GET IT?
With the dollar in the toilet, people are going to need reasons to go to these events; why do you give us reasons NOT to go? Why upset everybody with your dumb ideas? Obviously you could care less about the fans and racers, so therefore it must be the money, right? You should have somebody do the math for you. SEE YA!!!

AND PIFFLE, TOO
It seems obvious to me that the problem with NHRA brass is that they are control freaks. So everything must come from them or they poo-poo it. I say poo-poo on them.

THE FANS KNOW MORE THAN THE PRODUCERS
I can only hope the NHRA upgrades the Lucas Oil Series sportsman shows to show all classes from the semis to the finals. This show seems to always get lost in the alcohol cars. There seems to be no set formula to show them off along with the other great classes. Bob Frey is a great commentator full of sportsman knowledge, let him use it.
Please fix it now as it’s still early in the season to make all of us fans, sponsors and racers happy. It can be done.
Thanks.
