FORCE LETTER #29

All you people who are talking trash about the John Force TV show need to get a life and nobody said you had to watch it. Go back to your NASCAR racing but keep in mind real men go straight to the finish line not around in circles for hundreds of miles looking for it...

Stop all your crying.

FORCE LETTER #30

Just read your review on Driving Force. I also was wondering just what to expect, but I haven't been as disappointed as you. I don't see Force as some "spit and polish" marketing executive, which is what a driver/owner needs to be these days. I still see Force as a truck driver that was able to build an empire his way, right or wrong.

The thing that needs to gained from this show is how our actions can affect those around us. Lots of families have been ruined by motor sports. There aren't that many wives that would put it with it, and that's at the local level. To give up all that Force has given up to chase his dream should show the rest of us what the consequences can be. And it doesn't have to be motor sports. Truck divers that are out two weeks at a time, or businessmen that work 80 hours a week all put a toll on their families.

I don't think this show is as much about racing as it is about life. Too many children these days take too much for granted and don't appreciate the sacrifices made by working parents. Personally I'm taping these shows to show my kids. It may give them an idea of what sacrifice and hard work are all about, both the cost and the reward.
Everyone wants to be successful, but not too many are willing to pay the cost.

Thanks,

FORCE LETTER #31

Glen, boy, I couldn't have said it better myself. Just goes to show that Mr. Force may have removed his body from the trailer park, but his spirit and attitudes have remained firmly planted there. The sad truth is, no amount of money is going to infuse you with class. I know many people who are not even close to rich and yet have a hundred times the class displayed on this sad excuse for a "reality" show.

Hopefully the whole phenomena of "reality" programming will fade into the sunset of television dreck past and present. What John should realise is that the image he projects is perceived as reality by most viewers and it's not a pretty sight. NHRA and the sponsors should have stepped up to ensure that they were not hitching their wagon to a train wreck.

In the end, I believe that this show will drop from sight and drag racing will only be better off without it.
