LOST ANOTHER MEMBER

Capps, Bazemore, who cares? NHRA just fattened their wallets with something that was internal and none of their business. Fire the whole bunch and let Bruton Smith buy NHRA's cash cow, then we can see some real and fair drag racing.

After 40 years I have not renewed my NHRA membership in protest of their arrogance and inflexibility.

WHAT DOES 'PRO' DO?

Amen, Jeff. This was a team matter that NHRA should have kept their big nose out of. I wonder why the Schumacher camp didn't tell NHRA to take a hike.

I have often wondered why the drivers and owners don't form an association like F-1 does

to keep the sanctioning body in check.

ANOTHER BLOW UP

The Capps/Baze, bouts were overblown and so is the fine levied by NHRA. Seems NHRA is more interested in finding new ways to fine drivers/crews than running the races.

TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE

Burk: "misfits, gamblers, thrill seekers, and innovators."
OHH. . .That's why they call us "dirty drag racers!" I always wondered about that. Great column!

BUSTER WOULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF IT

WWBD (What would Buster do?) NHRA should have kept their nose out of this fight. Whit didn't file a complaint, nor did this conflict involve any NHRA staff or fans. This should have only been read about in the gossip columns. If it had been a real fight it wouldn't have mattered who started it -- Buster would have finished it.
