WHERE'S THE BACK SEAT?
I was looking at Gary Scelzi's new Dodge Charger and I remembered that the Charger is a four-door sedan. So, is NHRA taking a cue from NASCAR, where they run two-door versions of four-door cars? Example, the new Ford Fusion is a four door, but NASCAR versions I saw at Firebird were two doors. You sure can't tell Scelzi's car is a four door. The only "real" four-door Funny Car I remember was the "Peanuts" four-door Ford Galaxy (or was it a Fairlane?) that ran at Lions around 1968 or so with a 392 Chrysler.
Hmmmm, ya know, if someone wanted to be different, why not run a Dodge four-door wagon, you know, the new one that looks like it has a chopped top. It would make a cool Pro Mod or maybe even a rear-engined Funny Car.

THE SAME ALBERTS AND LAWRENCE?
In your 1320 article on the "Shake Rattle & Run' '57 Chevy I saw the mention of Mike Alberts and Kevin Lawrence. Is that the same Mike Alberts who had the cool yellow '67/'68 Camaro back in the late '80s/early '90s? Also, if memory serves me correct, didn't Kevin Lawrence drive a black '69 Camaro back in the day also?
Man, that was racing back then! Wheels up, back-halved steel cars! There was another guy that had a blue early '70s Monte Carlo that ran in the 8's. I think his first name was Bill.
I could go on and on about those days! I remember seeing the "Shake Rattle & Run" car at a Super Chevy event, I believe. . . awesome car! Keep us posted if you hear more.

SMALLER BLOWERS WILL SLOW THEM DOWN
I don't think rev limiters or lowering the nitro percentages is the answer. One thing that can slow the cars down and not break parts is to go to a 12-71 or a 10-71 blower size. It is fair and easy to check. At the rate blowers explode a two month grace period should be a good time to get it done. No air no power. The tracks are just too short for these speeds.
