KALITTA SHOULD BE KING

Tony Schumacher should have been penalized points for oiling the track by making that run, like Morgan Lucas which knocked him out of the top ten in points. Then Doug Kalitta would be champion.

I say DUH. There has been no competent leadership at NHRA for quite some time. Why would you expect anything better from them?

SAFETY FIRST

I agree 100 percent, Burkster. That could have been VERY tragic. They should also have been put on probation. Safety first, qualifying and world records second.

EXPLOSIVE COMBINATION?

Regarding Angus getting out of the nitro business as sales of nitro are connected to your country’s terrorism and national security.  In the Oklahoma City bombing, McVeigh constructed an ANFO explosive device arranged in the back of a rented Ryder truck. The bomb consisted of about 5,000 pounds (2,300 kg) of ammonium nitrate, an agricultural fertilizer, and NITROMETHANE, an explosive motor-racing fuel.

If Angus does pull out of the nitro business, how will this affect European nitro racing?
