IHRA APPRECIATES SPORTSMAN RACERS
IHRA is in a great position to attract new racers, and spectators. Anyone that has been connected in any way with drag racing for, say, 30-40 years, knows the real truth about NHRA. Why do you think Jim Tice was so successful with the racers (both pro and sportsman)!
If NHRA had produced the 1972 AHRA NATIONAL CHALLENGE do you think they would give three days to sportsman racers, and pay out over $50,000? Man, this was 1972..this was real money! Sportsman racers, get your head out of the sand and sign up with IHRA!!

JUST HOW MUCH DID ‘DIZZY’ PAY YOU, MARK?
Just got back from another stellar California Hot Rod Reunion at Famoso. Had a great time. Lots of blown engines, oil-downs and timing cone destruction, but it was still way cool. Cacklefest was stout once again.
However, the highlight of the event was being able to purchase the new DVD done by Don Gillespie about Lions, “The Greatest Drag Strip." It is very well done and it is just outstanding. I have waited 34 years for something like this. Always has and will always be my favorite track and the greatest of all time. The footage is priceless!!

CIRCULAR REASONING?
Is it just me or is Danica Patrick the Anna Kournikova of motorsports? She is famous for not winning. I don’t get it.
