IS THAT WHY THEY CALL IT THE BOOB TUBE?

Come now!!!! What do you expect? The NHRA is run by a bunch of incompetent boobs. They either know OR care nothing about drag racing. I turn on my TV to watch qualifying and get fishing. Ridiculous. You never see a NASCAR broadcast preempted by anything.

WHO’S WATCHING WHEN?

I'm not going to say nothing bad about Paul Page because I wonder how many of us would do any better. I did think he did the Arizona coverage better than the Pomona coverage. I was totally lost this past Sunday (3-3-07) because we had no drag racing on T.V., only a Mexico NASCAR Busch race, which was pretty good. 

By-the-way what is this deal with ESPN-2 showing old NHRA national meets every morning at 9:00 AM? Don't they know that no one is at home at that time, because we all work during those hours. I'm pretty sure that a lot of housewives don't really turn-on to that coverage.  Maybe someone from ESPN could change that to 9PM.

What the heck is everybody talking about? This "woman in drag racing" stuff is nothing new; it's old news! I remember seeing Shirley Muldowney at Union Grove in '72 when she was driving her funny car. That's when us guys had the balls to call her "Cha Cha"! It was all about promotion! Thing is, she WAS the real thing, and to this day I admire how much she accomplished with what was available to her.  Drag racing was more dangerous in those days, and she came back from some horrendous crashes. Hmmm, maybe she had the balls!

More Ashley! Ashley Force is the biggest and best thing to happen to the NHRA in a long while! If she wins, more fans will watch, period, so all of you DSR lovers a.k.a Force haters - get over it. Take a pill, because Nitro Child is here to stay and kick butt!!!!!!

I agree, ENOUGH already with the “Force family.” He has been a GREAT ambassador to the sport but please STOP THE MADNESS. The Winternationals were the Worst with all the WWF style interviews “If I am going to go down it will be like“….GIVE ME A LARGE BREAK TO GO.

And LAST week at Phoenix -‘the Drama Queen’ TV time- I felt like I was being had by ESPN doing double duty for A & E, with the in your face teary eyed stuff. She hasn’t even won a ROUND yet and the NHRA is ready to crown her the ‘heir to the throne’… sheez. How about ‘I got out of the grove, BUT my FORD/ Castrol car did its job …blah, blah, blah ..we will be ready to go by the next race‘. I mean ASHLEY gets TV time and the FRAM / Gilberston gets ZIP. Yeah I would be REAL happy to see my car that I doled out BIG BUCKS to sponsor WIN and not even get ANY air time. Hey NHRA wake up you are NOT NASCAR, Drag Racing is unique. Be who you are instead of what you are not.
