KEEP PRICES DOWN AND INTEREST HIGH
ADRL at the Motorplex? Hope it doesn't bring Motorplex ticket prices. Being at Texas Raceway for the ADRL meet last October generated feelings in me I haven't felt since Green Valley in the '70s. My camera and I were at the Valley almost every weekend watching great racing because the ticket prices were affordable and I wasn't watching top fuel bracket racing like it\'s now become. Cars had distinct differences and tuners could try different things.
Pro Mod is '60s Funny Cars all over again for me. I was at Des Moines Dragway to watch Hubert Platt's “Georgia Shaker” Falcon race in the '60s, and that’s what I miss. Pro Mod gives me back my radical and different combos that make racing interesting to me again, and I could afford to buy a ticket to go. Texas Raceway was the perfect place for ADRL, and I hope that moving everything to the Motorplex won't price me out of my renewed enjoyment. How about staying at Texas Raceway?

NORTHWIND NITRO
A correction to Agent 1320's piece on the Northwind restoration: only about 10% accurate to call it an alcohol dragster, since the other 90% in the tank was NITRO! It was an AA/FD in the language of the time, a Fuller car I believe. The team was billed as Albrecht, McCullough and Krieger, and was a regular at the Puyallup and Kent drag strips in Washington.
The Saturday night 8-car fuel shows at Puyallup were especially fun, our local version of "The Beach" (when it didn't rain!). If I ever run into "The Ace" at a race, will have to ask what ever happened to Albrecht and Krieger, just for a hoot.

A SPARKLING CANDIDATE
That rumor regarding a TF team being shopped around with the proviso of a woman driver? If they pass up Mendy Fry, they are stupid! She is gold waiting to be polished.
