DRAGSTER NEWBIE

Mr. Nicholson, I just wanted to say I'm glad to hear that you too have a new car coming from S&W!! My dad and I have an un-welded, 230" advanced e.t. swing arm kit on order which is due to be delivered next week -- one of the first of their "new designs" according to our salesman, Stokes Hellerman. A friend of mine here locally, will be doing the assembly/welding. He has been building fast door cars since 1989, some of which are now running in T/S and the Jegs Super Quick series, but this will be his first dragster, so we'll be watching your articles for any tech tips that you may have.

Ours will start off being powered by a mild small block Chevy until I get used to driving an open car, but then we plan on installing our 850 hp injected small block to run the local Q16 events and possibly some of the NHRA Div 3 Top Dragster stuff...if we're fast enough, ha ha ha!!

Good luck on your project!

THE NHRA EXPERIENCE

Last money I spent with these folks was for my last ND paper, it was to come with a T-shirt for each year bought. Never did get it. Upon requesting it at the ND Trailer at the races the director was summoned to talk with me about it. Got blew off, never got the T-shirt, never spent another dollar with them.

If you don't honor your agreements your clients will pull out. Sound familiar from others?

SPONSOR TIPS, PLEASE

Ian, thanks for the article. Please continue with the subject.
I have just started bracket racing, and am pursuing sponsorship on a local level. I have several (potential) sponsors in mind, but have no experience with the process.

Thanks again!

Kindest regards,
George Mitchell
