Ron Lewis and Tim Marshall have been at
the forefront of Motorsports photojournalism longer than any of us would
like to remember. Instead of the usual stock photos that they usually
turn in- the ones that pay the bills- we asked them to forsake the stock
footage and take a few pictures that would convey to the viewer the
atmosphere and story of the NHRA World Finals. We liked what they sent
us, and we hope you do.

Herberts explosion. All the photographers on the starting line
could do was stare at the replay. Tim Marshall Photo
