The rescheduled second Division 7 NHRA race found great weather on March 25-27 for the warm up to next week’s national event at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. With almost 400 participants, this was a perfect tune-up for the sportsman classes.

Joey Severance used a holeshot to win Top Alcohol Dragster. Severance covered the #2 qualifier of Chris Demke with a .031 reaction time to Demke’s .045 and used his 5.049 ET to inch past his opponent’s 5.047.
