Weather once again played a factor in shortening an event as high winds followed by a cold front put an end to racing about noon on Saturday, March 5, at Royal Purple Raceway in Houston, Texas.
The Division 4 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series was run entirely on Sunday, making for a long day. Several classes had short fields, which moved the action along.
Monroe Guest, Mannford, Okla. (lead photo), took home the championship trophy in Top Alcohol Dragster after defeating Forrest Fair, Haughton, La., who broke in the final round.
