On Friday night there was a fantastic car show in the pits. Three different bands played from the staging lanes, and when Vinny Appice from Black Sabbath came out to bang the drums for five songs, the crowd went wild.

All fun and games, but for a good cause, as a special match race was held between the Chevrolet Camaros of ‘Tuna’ Pete Baleno’s ‘Super Tuna’ and Jerry Wold’s ‘Scream'n Norwegian’ to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. To raise more money, a 50/50 drawing and a raffle were held, with the winner of the raffle getting a chance to sit in their choice of Bobby Hansen’s cackle dragster, TV Tommy Ivo’s dragster, or Ron Johnson’s repro Golden Greek dragster.
