The trophy in PSB went to Beck’s arch rival Len Paget who qualified low with a mid seven second pass and saved the best class numbers of the event, a 7.473/176, until the final comfortably covering the ailing Beck’s high seven. Voodoo Len is another now plotting the long road trip to Hungary for the opening UEM round.

The newest of the new bikes in Super Street Bike was one of the latest products of Seb Domingo’s NLR workshop, tailor made for Wayne Saunders. Having tested heavily at Valdosta a month ago, Saunders UK debut was the focus of much debate on the bulletin boards and a 7.512/188 put him second in qualifying just behind Stubbins. Although Wayne was one to succumb to the cold track conditions early on Monday morning, this will be one combination to watch for the rest of the season.
