Greg Stansfield’s Nitro Fish qualified in the Top half of the field.

GM vehicles hold the top four Pro Stock positions with Jeg Coughlin in his Chevy Cobalt in second with his 6.591 at 209.59, Ron Krisher’s Cobalt at 6.595 and Rodger Brogdon in a Pontiac GXP at 6.603.

After two rounds of qualifying in Competition Eliminator Brian Fitzpatrick’s H/Dragster from Lake Havasu City AZ leads the field with a -0.777 under index 6.223 and John Mihovetz driving his BB/AT Aeromotive-backed Mustang -0.765 under at a 6.505 elapsed time.

Colorado’s Jim Whiteley’s supercharged and injected T/AD  leads the Alcohol Dragster class with a 5.311 at 268.65 mph with a A/FD right behind him. New Yorker Tony Bartone leads qualifiers with a 5.570 at 257.28 in a 2009 Mustang-bodied alcohol funny car tuned by Steve Boggs.

Pro qualifying resumes with Round Two on Friday, starting with Pro Stock at 3 p.m. The third and fourth sessions will be Saturday before the fields are set for Sunday’s final eliminations at the Pomona Fairplex track.
