The over subscribed Super Compact bracket saw awesome racing from the import brigade with Dib Taouil in his 20 B motored RX-7 making it to the final against George Marcevski in a RX-3 with a 13B rotary. In the end it was only Taouil that actually made it down the track with his 11.31 taking the win.

| What can one say about Alan White – “the mighty Whitey” who swept all before him in the highly competitive Modified bracket. I’d love to tell you more but the results weren’t posted. Suffice to say that the former Australian champion managed to outlast 24 other entries and beat Kelly Corbett in the final frame. | With 34 bikes entered in Modified Bike it was no pushover to take the gold Xmas tree at the end of the weekend. Queenslander Darryn Schuster on his GSXR Suzuki proved to be the most consistent dial-your-own racer on the day taking out the Kawasaki ZX14 in the final. There a 0.32 reacted 0.13 over 10.21 more than covered a later 0.72 leaving 0.12-over 9.41. |
Christine Steffens, in her Queensland-based blown 446 Chev-powered rail, was the class of the large 26-car field of Supercharged Outlaws taking this first round win over Mal Gower’s orange T Bucket – with a 0.04 over 6.975. She ran 7.001, 6.985 and 6.963 times to reach the bracket final where another 0.04-over 6.979/197.68 was too consistent for Geoff Gradden’s 7.05 that was linked to a tardy .235 light. ![]()
