In the first round of Comp nine of 16 cars were blown; however, by the second round it was six of eight with the two finalists both being supercharged. For Craig Geddes in his normally aspirated big block dragster it was all over in the first round but he sure looked good.

The picture perfect Pontiac Firebird of Omar Sedmak was also built for go as well as show. This saw the 500 Chev-powered A/APA classed car carve through a very tough field making his way to the final against Jim Ioannidis’ Holden VS Commodore. There Ioannidis red lighted giving Sedmak the Nationals Super Stock title.
