Shakedown at E-town
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so we’re going to save our typing fingers and share photos and some information from the 2009 edition of the Shakedown at E-town at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ.
Joe Newsham had a spectacular crash during Outlaw 10.5 qualifying. Luckily, he was okay.
Tony Pontieri dominated the Pro Outlaw Blown class. His Bolton, Ontario-based ’69 Camaro qualified #1 and set Low ET at 5.895 and Top Speed at 246.39 mph. His final round opponent, Kevin McGurdy from Harrisburg, PA, broke and Pontieri blasted to a 5.914/246.26 anyway.
