Troy Coughlin Jr. led the JEGS camp with a win in Super Comp against Anthony Castillo for the first win of his young career. Coughlin ran 9.061 at 174.62 mph against Castillo’s 9.068/169.78. Coughlin’s Reaction Time was .008!

Max Tafoya won a close one with Val Torres in Super Gas, his Chevy S-10 turning in a 10.084/153.39 with a .010 RT to a 10.091/157.50 with a .025 RT for the Camaro of Torres. It was the first national event win for Tafoya.

Torres still has an outside shot at the NHRA Lucas Oil Super Gas National Championship but needs a win and a runner-up finish at the last two events of the year.

Art and Jan Peterson were named Best Appearing Crew.
