Jim Oberhoffer and Graham Light discuss rain delays and track preparation.

John Medlin adjusts the final nitro percentage before the last ditch qualifying session on Saturday as Mike Neff waits to climb into the Force Racing Mustang.

14-time champion John Force laid down a solid 4.092 second run flying the
black and gold colors of Castrol Edge for the first of three races in 2009. Ron
Capps in the far lane would sit in the thirteen position with a 4.289 in his
NAPA–sponsored Charger.
Defending funny car world champ Cruz Pedregon was ninth in his Toyota Solara-bodied
flopper with a 4.205 at 305.91. Tim Wilkerson, who led the points standings
for most of last season, posted his first DNQ since the 2007 season in his
Levi Ray & Shoup
Ford Mustang.
The day was called with this one-shot session and eliminations would hopefully
begin sometime on Sunday, weather permitting.
