Prior to the first round of competition, Gary and Joanne Densham (at right) were presented with a number of mementos from their Australian hosts. Joanne is a history teacher by day and received a history of the Willowbank facility that opened in 1985. Gary is proudly holding a trophy depicting the highlights of his 34 years of visiting Australia. Willowbank’s Vice-President, Paul Casos (left) and President John Winterburn, (middle) look on.

Mark Sheehan’s black Mustang comes perilously close to the fence in the shutdown following his first round joust with Damien Harris. With his chutes wafting over the right hand wall, he managed to bring his mount to a safe stop. For the record, his 5.10/274.56 easily handled an off pace 9.75
