UEM Top Fuel Bike

We’ve tipped Eric Teboul as one to watch in 2008 as the fuel bike veteran is on the chase of big performance rather than points this season. The flying Frenchman only ran in the first session of qualifying, but a 6.293/211 placed him a tenth and a half ahead of Steve Woollatt in second spot, all this despite dropping cylinders at the top end of the track.

Another rider we’re expecting big things from this season is RIkard Gustafsson, who was propelled to a 6.504/201 clocking on the RG Engineering Suzuki Funnybike to place him on the verge of joining the very select club of Funnybike riders with a 6.4 second timing ticket. How select? Well you can count the current members on the fingers of one hand and still have a couple of digits to spare.
UEM Super Twin Bike

Having taken the UEM Super Twin title back to the Erbacher racing base in Arlesheim, Lorenz Stauble doesn’t look like he’s likely to let the trophy leave Switzerland in a hurry. Quickest in both sessions with consistent 6.6s (low ET at 6.629 and high TS at 211.67 mph), and with number two plate holder Gunther Sohn in second spot we might be in for a re-run of 2007 as these two riders run to the wire for the title.
