Former class and event champs reigned supreme with holeshot wins in the ET Bracket Showdown classes at Houston. Lupe Davila started things off in Harland Sharp Mod Comp with a victory over Michael Sulzbach while S.D. Wheeler got the best of Lloyd Mikeska in RPM Outlet Ultra Stang. Paul Gamino followed that up with a nifty win over Jim Roberts in JDM Tough Truck.
Lupe Davila, one of the winningest drivers in Fun Ford history, chalked up another one at Houston in Mod Comp with a victory over Michael Sulzbach in Harland Sharp Mod Comp.
Fun Ford continued handing out the money in both of the Saturday and Sunday bracket programs also. Chris Josey, Carl Bieber and Joseph Chadwick were the victors in Fast, Quick and Street Ford respectively. Daryl Patton, Lawrence Lohr and James Green won on Sunday in each of those classes as well.
True Street had a great showing with 60 vehicles taking part in the fun. William Calcote from Leesville, LA was the victor over Jason Roberts of Beaumont, TX in Saturday’s Quick 8 for True Streeters while Jay Pope won Sunday’s bracket program over Billy Cowan.
