| Angel N. Padilla (far lane) used a great light and an 8.100 at 179.09 to beat low qualifier Richard Lelsz for the event win at Houston. | Gary Miller’s awesome 1953 F100 was made it all the way to the finals in Borla Street Bandit before bowing out to event champion Brian Warwas. |
In the heads up index classes, Borla Street Bandit had a nearly full field of cars battle it out to see who could get to the finish line first without going under the 10.60 index. Gary Miller’s awesome 1953 F100 was dialed in all weekend as he used a bye and victories over Steve Cummings and defending series champ Mac Sibley to make the finals. Brian Warwas, on the other hand, managed to get past Mike Harris, Chris James and Daniel Cross to get there himself. In the title round, Miller ran a lot closer to the class index with a 10.628, but he lost the race on the tree when his .135 light wasn’t enough to overcome Warwas’ 0.84 second holeshot and 10.671.

Veteran James Meredith (near lane) overcame Cliff Nelson’s holeshot to take the win in Saleen Street Stang.
In a strange turn of events, Fun Ford regular James Meredith overcame a huge .103 holeshot to win in Saleen Street Stang against Cliff Nelson. He managed to do that by running much closer to the 11.90 class index with a 12.164 second elapsed time which was good for the win over Nelson’s 12.345 ET.

Paul Gamino (near lane) picked up his second consecutive win in JDM Tough Truck with a victory over Jim Roberts with this 2007 F150 Saleen.

Former Ultra Stang champ S.D. Wheeler (far lane) used a big holeshot to take the win at Houston over Lloyd Mikeska.
