The Big Dog races have become a legendary series at the all-concrete 1/8th mile Carolina track. It’s got a run what ya brung atmosphere and attracts huge crowds. It also attracts some of the biggest name in Southern outlaw doorslammer racing. Even the legendary tuner Jim Oddy who recently retired to the Mooresville, NC, area has been seen at one of the Thursday night race.

If you haven’t been to a Big Dog, you should make plans. It’s a Southern racing tradition that has to be seen to be believed.
