Texan Bruce Beltramini, seen here in the near lane defeating O.J. Martinelli in the opening round of S&S Pro Stock Eliminator, came from the third qualifying spot to win on the Cornwell Tools ride. Final round opponent Eddie Lee of Georgia held a tenth of a second advantage on the Reid’s Deli cycle but lost fire on the starting line in the title match.

Shaun Reno led the Pro Stock field with an 8.17/161.29 but the Headblade team watched in horror as the bike stumbled in the semis against Eddie Lee. Reno eclipsed both the 164.53 mph quarter-mile National Speed Record (164.77), and grabbed the eighth-mile standard to boot.

Mike Lozano’s engineering masterpiece qualified well off the pace in the AHDRA’s premiee nitrous oxide-aided division but the Texan ran Low ET and Top Speed of every elimination round in Rush Performance Pro Gas. Although runner-up David Hope hit the meet’s best pass in qualifying (7.16), Lozano’s 7.21/187.31 won the meet.
