XTREME STREET
With 21 cars, the competition was intense in Xtreme Street. Bob Kurgan of Byron, Illinois, got the win in his ’86 Mustang with a 8.237/168.72 win over Danny Shemwell’s 9.104/121.13.
Cameron Coble’s ’04 Mustang qualified in the number 2 spot and made it to the semi-finals where his 8.099/175.47 was not quite enough to beat the 8.089/169.45 of Danny Shemwell’s ‘01 Mustang. Coble is from Lewisburg, Tennessee, and Shemwell is from Elkton, Kentucky.
The ’73 Dart of Seminole, Florida’s Mark Mahowski handed eventual winner Bob Kurgan the first-round win with a red light.
