Funny Car driver Cruz Pedregon guided his car into the points lead with a win Nov. 2 at the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals. Top Fuel POWERade Series world champion Tony Schumacher, Pro Stock’s Jeg Coughlin and Pro Stock Motorcycle’s Chris Rivas joined Pedregon in the winner’s circle at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with only one race remaining in the Countdown to 1 playoffs.

A day after clinching his fifth consecutive NHRA POWERade world championship, U.S. Army Top Fuel driver Tony “The Sarge” Schumacher went out and captured the ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals here Sunday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
   
For Schumacher it was his 15th win of the season and the 56th of his career. In two weeks at the season finale in Pomona, he will have the opportunity to set the all-time single season victory mark set by Pro Stock driver Greg Anderson in 2004.
