Limited Street: Gary Brandt dominated the class: qualified No. 1, set top speed at 160.71

mph and set low e.t. of 8.921 at 157.82 mph in the final round defeating Craig Williams who trailed with a 9.378/150.90.

Wild Street: n his awesome looking candy red 1971 Chevelle Paul Bartlett of Oxnard, CA, took the win over No. 1 Q Levi Hanna of Simi Valley, CA, in a 1990 Ford Mustang. Levi set top speed 174.32 mph and Low E.T. with an 8.307.

Quick Street: Brian Rogers of Corona, CA in his ‘67 Chevy Nova took the win light over Don Dombroski of Simi Valley, CA, driving a 1964 Chevy Malibu, Rogers cut an .002 light an ran a 9.624/135.37 mph to Don’s 9.667/143.11.

Bracket: Jason Dawson of North Las Vegas, NV, drove his flamed ‘68 Pontiac Firebird to the win over fellow Vegas resident, Steve Westlund in his ‘67 Chevy Camaro. Westlund broke on the line as Jason took the win light running a 10.31 e.t. at 128.27 mph

Trophy Class:  Russell Fredrick, who was racing for the first time took the win light. Fredrick, whose C 4 transmission in his ‘65 Ford Falcon only had high gear as his trans broke first and second gears during the weekend, had a big smile on his face running 12.745/109.92 mph over Dan Marciano in his ‘79 Mercury Capri red lighted away and ran a 10.82 on a 10.80 dial at 124.38 mph.

Mean Street: 10.60 Class Ron De Hoop of Corona, CA, in his Lucas Oil ‘67 Chevy Malibu cut a .002 light and defeated fellow Lucas Oil racer Mike Matranga of Lakewood, CA. Matranga’s‘65 Nova broke out by more giving the win to De Hoop, who ran a 10.572 e.t. at 125.55 mph to Mike’s losing 10.550 e.t. 126.83 mph.

Open Comp:  Mike Nordahl, who wins often at Auto Club Dragway, did not travel too far to get the win as he is from Fontana, CA. He defeated Dan Reaume, a very good bracket racer from Kingman, AZ, who, despite some recent health trouble, raced his ‘64 Ford Ranchero, “Double Trouble.” Dan cut a .002 light but Nordahl cut a .058 light and took the win by 4 thousandth of second, running a 10.56/127.27 mph to Dan’s losing 10.570/128.05 mph.
