Missouri’s Mark Micke’s unusual (for a Pro Mod) “Procharged” 526-inch, bigblock-powered, ’68 Camaro had a pretty good outing. He qualified with a 4.237/175 lap and went a round before losing to Terry Murphy.


Oklahoma Mustang racer Todd Martin has abandoned his Pro Mod bike career and gone over to Pro Mod cars. He debuted his new Steve Bruce-built, Hemi-powered ’53 Studebaker. The immaculate “slope nose.” Martin lost in the first round, but the car did impressive burnouts and has of power.
