Arizona tuner and builder Gordon Jenner was testing Ron Hodgson’s newly finished Bubble-up Pacemaker Firebird driven in testing by Sean Dale.  The Hawaiian Roland Leong helped to dial in their combination while the team worked on making half-track passes.  They hope to compete with the other NFCA teams at the upcoming Nostalgia Nitro Shootout at California Dragway on April 21.

Funny car pioneer Randy Walls ran his 1970 “Super Nova” to a best of 6.617 at 208.42 but broke on the starting line in round two, a pit engine explosion sidelined the veteran for the afternoon.

Nate Bugg piloted the family “Lil Nate” Barracuda to a best of 6.437 at 217.46 MPH in the second round, but destroyed their Hemi engine on that pass in the lights.


Dennis LaCharite’s beautiful new ’69 GTO was off at the altitude track running a best of 6.561 at 210..08 MPH.

Mike Boyd got out of shape in Mike Sullivan’s new AA/Fuel Altered while later that day making the best ever pass on the car of 5.558 at 254.52 MPH.
