There were a couple of nitro coupes out testing for the March 23-25 Super Chevy Show. Wayne Torkelson Jr. (far lane) was out making runs in the family’s Red Line Water Wetter 1958 Corvette and Brad Kuhns brought out his IHRA Brad Anderson Hemi ‘41 Willys coupe to make a few runs before going to the IHRA season opener in Texas.

Kelly Bluebaugh, who made his debut in Hughes Pro Street competition in a Monte Carlo he purchased from Ron Weems on Friday, put in his NOS motor and running gear and made the show. He got to the semi’s -- not too bad for his first time out with the car. Bluebaugh had the whole WFO racing team helping him out this weekend.

Bob Griffith and partner Eric Lenore also made their debut in Hughes Pro Street action in an ex-Kirk Kuhns Dodge Viper Pro Mod that they bought from Canadian racer Joe Delehay, who won the West Coast Pro Mod Association championship last year. Griffith and Lenore rebuilt everything on the car. Then they contacted Kuhns who has helped them get the car set up and is now building the engines for the team. Griffith and Lenore were the 2004 and 2005 Outlaw Champions.
